CJD ORCHESTRA

The CJD Orchestra was founded in 1983 to connect instrumentalists from every facility of the Christliches Jugenddorfwerk Deutschlands e.V. (CJD) in an classical orchestra.

In 1997 Christof Harr became the director of the CJD Orchestra and changed it to a symphonic orchestra with 50-60 musicians who come together 4 times a year for several days to rehearse and perform classical and romantique symphonic music.

The height of the season in every year since 1996 is the final concert at the chamber music hall of the Berlin Philharmonie.

Since 2009 the CJD orchestra has a new artistic profile. Young musicians are teached by a team of professional musicians.
